Valentina Ferraro/ Born in Palermo, October 25, 1981. Graduated in Fine Arts at “Universidad Politécnica de Valencia UPV”, where through a variety of disciplines has maintained a common unit to her research and interest for the metamorphosis of forms. She then developed her research through performance-art focusing on the body as a primary matter, and most direct way of expression in Art. Her encounter with the world of butoh was the key to continuing this research on the body and its perpetual change. She starter butoh research with Sayoko Onishi, 2002 (New-butoh) then continue with many coreographers as Yoshito Ohno, Atsushi Takenouchi, Marie Gabrielle Rotie, Imre Thormann, Masaki Iwana, Ken Mai, Denise Fujiwara etc. She created different choreography as "Mi femenino" (solo, 2005), "Fiore-capovolto" (solo, 2006), "Yokai" (Octuor, 2008, pour la cie "Collapse Art"-Nancy), and "Kamigami No SI" (trio presented at the festival "Obuxofest 2010"), "So(S)ciety" (solo presented at the festival "Barcelona en Butoh" 2011). In 2006 she founded "Nanae:: production" and organizes conferences, workshops, performances and meetings, related to the dance-theater, in collaboration with different international artists.
